The Stratus system uses different modules to perform various functions.  The default module in this version of ProComm is module #63, the form_edit module, used for canning forms.  It's fairly easy to connect to other Stratus modules, because of the default format of their server hostnames.  Example: Module #63 is m63.stratus.aol.com.

ProComm is used by AOL for Stratus terminal emulation.  Although AOL is trying to move away from being Stratus-dependant, many of their critical systems still reside on Stratus mainframes.  Because most AOL office workstations run on the MS Windows platform, AOL uses ProComm to emulate a Stratus terminal environment so its employees can perform their work in Stratus while operating under the Windows platform.
